About the event

You are invited to participate in a virtual workshop held over two consecutive afternoons on:

Wednes., Nov 20 and Thurs., Nov 21, from 1 – 3:30 pm.  Please RSVP or reply by end of day Tues, Nov 5.

Councilmember Christine Boles learned about NOAA's free programs to bring sea level rise adaptation training to cities and governments through the Cal Cities Coastal Cities Working Group presentations (through communication shared by Mayor Pro Tem Sue Beckmeyer who currently chairs the group). Working with the city manager and two environmental organizations in town, Pacifica's Environmental Family and the Pacifica Climate Committee, we've organized this two afternoon virtual "Adaptation 101" training put on by NOAA staff.   (Note:  The early to mid-afternoon timing of the workshop was partially determined by the schedules of NOAA staff, some of who are on the east coast, though content will be focused on the west coast issues).
