How can I volunteer?

Our Annual Kahuna Kapuna Surf Contest (generally held in July) can always use volunteers to help with planning from outreach for sponsorships and individual contestants, to "day of" activities.  If interested, please send an e-mail to kahunakupuna@comcast.net.
 

Can my project apply for a non-fiscal sponsorship through PEF?

If your project aligns with our mission "to promote the discovery of, and caring for, our wealth of natural resources" then we would love to hear from you. Please contact us and let's talk!

What is a non-profit fiscal sponsor?
With a fiscal sponsor, a project can focus on their cause without the paperwork, red tape, and burden of running and managing a nonprofit. PEF handles the banking, bookkeeping, tax filings, insurance, and acts as custodian of funds along with general guidance so that project teams can focus on their good work. How much does PEF charge each fiscally sponsored project?
PEF assesses an administrative fee of 7% of each project's gross revenue for the services and support we provide.  
 

Are donations to a project shared by other PEF projects?
If someone makes a donation to a project, then that tax-deductible donation is designated for that project only (less the small administrative fee noted above).
